Navy blue wool Splash Anchor cushion with cream appliqué and delicate hand embroidery. The Jan Constantine Splash Anchor Cushion features a magnificent appliquéd anchor surrounded by an exuberant splash of hand embroidered scrolls and little fishes in cream wool and thread work, stitched onto an inky blue, felt wool base.The Anchor is one of Jan's favourite motifs, inspired by the naval tattoo on her father's arm and also the strong symbolic meaning of the anchor - security and stability. The cushion is hand-embroidered with blanket stitch and chain stitch detail and finished on the edges with contrast cream blanket stitch. It opens at the back with two mother of pearl buttons.
